WALKING TOURS: Uncovering Handel's Dublin

We know that Handel was enraptured by Dublin during his stay in 1742, and that he vowed to return though sadly never did. We can only speculate on many of the every day sights and sounds that captured his heart, but there are some clues remaining that connect us to Handel’s Dublin today.

Led by historian Dr Stuart Kinsella, Research Advisor at Christ Church Cathedral, this tour treads the streets that would have existed during Handel’s time in the city, and examines the traces of the performance venues that still remain.

Wear comfortable shoes and prepare for an entertaining and informative journey!
